NEW STEERING SHAFT WITH NEW WORM INSTALLED for 7 TOOTH

For Year(s): 28-29

The NEW shaft is 44 1/2” long with a new SEVEN tooth worm installed. The steering wheel end of the shaft is splined for the 1928-29 style wheel.

This new 43" steering shaft has a new TWO tooth worm installed.

This new 44" steering shaft has a new two tooth worm installed.

STEERING WORM INSTALLATION LABOR CHARGE - 7 TOOTH

For Year(s): 28-29

Send us your shaft with old worm on it. We will remove it and install a new worm on your shaft. This is the LABOR CHARGE only - order worm (#4890) separately. For 7 tooth shaft.

STEERING WORM INSTALLATION LABOR CHARGE - 2 TOOTH

For Year(s): 29-31

Send us your shaft with old worm on it. We will remove it and install a new worm on your shaft. This is the LABOR CHARGE only - order worm (# 4920) separately. For 2 tooth shaft.

STEERING SHAFT FELT RETAINER

For Year(s): 28-29

This is the special cupped washer/nut that holds the felt in place. As you tighten the hex part of the retainer it will adjust the felt for a seal. Used on the SEVEN tooth steering box.This is not needed if you are using (5030).

STEERING SHAFT RETAINER WITH TUBE

For Year(s): 28-29

This is the same as (# 5010) except an oil tube is added to prevent any gear box oil from dripping through to the wire harness. The O.D. of this tube .436. There were a few steering shafts where the hole is smaller and this tube will not fit.

STEERING BOX OIL SEAL RETAINER

For Year(s): 29-31

This is the steel cupped washer that holds the seal in place at the bottom of the box to keep the 600-W oil from leaking out. Not needed if you order (# 5280). Two tooth only.

STEERING BOX OIL SEAL AT END PLATE

For Year(s): 29-31

This seal must be used if you don’t install the modern leakless end plate (# 5280). This gasket keeps the 600-W oil from leaking past the horn rod into the wiring light body. Two tooth only.

7 TOOTH LIGHT ROD FELT SEAL

For Year(s): 28-29

This felt seals the bottom of the 7-tooth steering column where the light rod comes out. 5010 holds the felt in place.
