Take gas tank to a radiator shop and have it cleaned. Pour in sealer and roll the tank over many, many times for the sealer to coat the tank. Let the tank dry for 24 hours and re-apply a second coat. Drain out extra sealer. This is the alcohol resistant type by the 'Bill Hirsch" company.
